When the family learns that one of the family members is often ill, she becomes dizzy. There are lots of technical tasks to perform that are involved with a flood of uneasy feelings and a lack of knowledge that takes over. At this point, getting organized in front of the various tasks can really be a lifeline for the family. There you, the family escorts, come in to help the family representative learn how to organize family help.
The family counselor will teach the family representative how to manage the family help. Helping the family in crisis will be on several levels:
